Located right downtown in Douglas is a pizza place that blows the competition out of the water with its fresh made dough and abundance of toppings.  I am of course talking about the Back Alley Pizza Joint and this is where you need to be in the city.

I was on my way home when I stopped in to grab a pie so bear with me on the photo from the car.  Looking over their menu they offer grinders and pizza as well as calzones and salads.  I ordered a large back alley deluxe.  It normally comes with green peppers, Italian sausage, pepperoni, red onions, and fresh mushrooms but I subbed out the pepperoni for ham.

The pizza was huge and smelled great.  The crust was crunchy on the outside with soft dough on the in and the toppings were distributed perfect.  The cheese blend they used also filled up all the holes leaving this pizza with no room for error.  There was minimal grease on this pie and with all the fresh veggies it had such a good flavor coming from every bite.

So next time you need something that will fill you up and leave you happy be sure to slide into Back Alley and grab a pie for the road.  They also have slices during lunch if you need something quick.
