What is Eatconomy? In these hard times many have to make decisions on where to spend their time and money. I can't count the number of instances where I only had 20 minutes to eat and get to work. I would often debate between putting gas in my car, paying a bill or two or eating lunch and dinner. This would lead to many hungry nights and me being forced to eat at McDonalds or Taco Bell more then anywhere else. Fast food franchises are not the only cheap eat-out spots in America.
Eatconomy is for the person who wants something cheap to eat that is also tasty. I am not talking 5 star restaurants where your portions are very small and your pocket book will be empty when you leave. I am talking hidden dives that offer meals or specials that will leave you full and often with enough food for another meal.

Located in East Lansing, Menna’s Joint has been a staple chow place for Spartans for years. I heard about this place while visiting some friends who go to Michigan State. They told me of a cheap spot where you get super filling and super affordable Dubs. I had to check it out. What is a Dub you say? Well they define it as: Simply the most original, obscenely delicious, and wildly addictive grilled wrap sandwich in the world. They weren’t lying either. …read more
