East Lansing Michigan is home to a great party school.  Along side with that is a great collection of restaurants and bars to help with the morning afters also.  One of these hidden gems is Crunchy’s.

To get into this wonderful spot you need venture down an alley way and into a side door where it opens up to a wonderful dim bar and restaurant.  We arrived on a Sunday where they had 1/2 off a large pizza so we sat down, ordered a couple beers and looked over their menu.

We got a large half cheese half pepperoni and mushroom pie.  When it arrived it was served on a cafeteria tray.  The pizza smelled of garlic and the 12 square slices each looked like they offered plenty of toppings and cheese.

The pizza sauce was wonderfully flavored with fresh garlic and the dough was thick and soft with the base crunchy.  The crust wasn’t to hard and overall offered something for you no matter how you like your pie.

So whether you are still going from a night partying at MSU or you are just in town for some shopping and eating be sure to stop in to Crunchy’s for a pizza and beer.  They offer a huge craft beer selection most of which are Michigan beers.  Next time I come through here I will be trying out one of their burgers since I am also a huge burger buff.
