You should never limit a meal to a time frame.  Breakfast specifically can be enjoyed anytime day or night.  In Ann Arbor they have a spot where the “hippy hash” can be enjoyed 24 hours a day and that place is The Fleetwood Diner.

The Fleetwood Diner an old diner feel but on more of a grunge side.  With stickers all over the walls and only a few tables I can see this place being very shoulder to shoulder.  Even going in at 10:30PM on a Monday we had to sit at the bar.

Sitting at the bar was pretty cool though.  You could see your food being made as the flattop was right there.  There was two people working this whole time, one cook and one server.  The cook was rocking out omelettes and hash real quick.

I looked over the menu and ordered the Original Hippie Hash Breakfast.  Hippie Hash is hash browns topped with grilled onions, tomatoes, mushrooms green peppers and broccoli.  It is then topped with Feta cheese and served with two eggs and toast.  I chose wheat toast, scrambled eggs and to sub out the feta with cheddar cheese.

I gotta say this hash was delicious.  All the grilled veggies mixed with the hash browns made this a very filling meal.  The broccoli was the tip of the sundae though since it is rare you add broccoli to a breakfast medley.  It would almost be safe to say this is a healthier option to most breakfasts since there isn’t all the added salts and fats from bacon or sausage, though this would taste great with those added.

No matter what time of day it is, The Fleetwood Diner is there to help you get the breakfast you deserve.  They have a Lansing location also in case you aren’t near the Ann Arbor area.  Next time I go in I plan on trying one of their variations of the Hippie Hash like the Gyro Hash.
