Food trucks have helped pave the way for some of the best food around. While some are content traveling and serving masses in a confined space on wheels, others get so successful that they can build into a permanent location and have a restaurant front. World Street Kitchen brings Asian fusion with everything from Mediterranean to the Caribbean both in the streets of Minneapolis as well as in its restaurant on Lyndale.
Walking in you see a very modern place with various sized tables and booths. The air is filled with a smell of spices and when you look into the kitchen you see them rocking out some tasty looking meat on their flattop. I look over the menu and decided to snag a Bangkok Korean BBQ Short Ribs Burrito. I also got a side of Kim chi since it is one of the best Korean inventions ever.
The burrito came stuffed with fried rice, their own secret sauce, fresh basil and cilantro and then the short ribs. My original thought was this burrito is a little small but as I got into it I realized they packed that thing full.
Every bite was packed with everything. The secret sauce was wonderful and offered a pleasant cream to balance the spices and herbs. The Korean Beef was cooked perfect and with the fried rice in there I was getting full fast.
The Kim chi was also very good and had a great heat to it. I ate it like a salad but you could also put it inside everything you order.
So next time you come through the twin cities and are craving some great food that isn’t a Jucy Lucy be sure to swing into World Street Kitchen. Next time I am here I will try not to eat as much so I can swing into Milkjam Creamery which is their sister company. Be sure to also see where they are going to be on location with their truck if you can’t make it to their restaurant.
I’m not that much of a internet reader to be honest but your blogs really nice, keep it up! I’ll go ahead and bookmark your site to come back down the road. Cheers
